Heavy duty aluminium retainer, internal rubber bumper, one piece PVC cover in colour (e.g.
Silver Grey) and coextruded contrasting stripe in colour (e.g. Alexis Blue). Matching PVC
brackets, wall returns and corners.

Wall Guards
WG-8 Wall Guard by Pawling Systems
Dimensions: 197 mm wide.
Comprising:
Heavy duty aluminium retainer, internal rubber bumper, PVC cover with curved edges, in
colour (e.g. Pearl Grey). Matching PVC endcaps
and corner pieces.
Installation:

WG-30 Wall Guard by Pawling Systems
Dimensions: 105 mm wide.
Comprising:
Continuous aluminium core with contoured PVC cover in colour (e.g. Linen White) mounted
to wall through rubber spacers. Matching PVC endcaps and corners.

Corner Guards
CG10 Corner Guard by Pawling Systems
Dimensions: 76 x 76 mm.
Comprising:
Heavy duty aluminium retainer section, top and bottom end caps. Snap on PVC cover section

Door Protection

Bed Head Protection
BL-30 Vertically mounted Bed Head Buffers by Pawling Systems
Comprising:
Twin WG-30 Buffers each 1 metre long with continuous aluminium core, contoured PVC
cover in colour (e.g. Ivory) mounted to wall through rubber spacers.
Installation:

Technical Information

MATERIALS
1 RIGID PVC COVERS
Rigid PVC covers shall be extruded or moulded from custom interior high impact rigid
PVC compounds with an embossed, matt finish.
Styles BR-500, BR-800, WG-3, WG-6, WG-8, WG-9, WG-12, WG-22, EB-40, EBRU-1,
EB-25, CG-7, CG-10 and CG-75 shall have PVC Covers 2.54mm thick. Styles BL-4,
WG-35, EBR-30, CG-20, CG-30, CG-32 and CG-75 shall have PVC Covers 2.16 mm
thick. Styles BR-1200, BR-400, WG-4 and WG-30 shall have PVC Covers 2mm Thick.
FLAMMABILITY
Class 1 to BS476 Parts 6 and 7 spread of flame.
Class 0 to Building Regulations - Paragraph A12 of Approved Document B Fire safety.
IMPACT RESISTANCE
ASTM-256-906 - Passes.
ASTM-D-256-93A - Method A Izod Avg. 25.3 ft. lbs/in. notch.
ASTM-D-256-93A 00-Method B Charpy Avg. 26ft. ibs/in. notch.
CHEMICAL AND STAIN RESISTANCE
ASTM D-543-87 - 7 day immersion test.
COLOUR STABILITY
PVC components tested components tested in accordance with SAE J-1545 (ASTM 1545)
provide an accurate colour match of 1.0 or less delta E per CIE LAB 10 degree standard
observer colour difference and equation.

2 ALUMINIUM
Wall and Corner Guard retainers shall be from aluminium alloy 6063 with a T-5 or T-6
temper. Handrail retainers shall be from aluminium alloys 6063 or 6105 with a T-5 temper.
3 ACCESSORIES
(Ends, Corner Pieces etc)
Shall be moulded from the same base, high impact, rigid PVC Compound to improve
colour matching, Accessories shall allow for transtitions around corners and return to the
wall at appropriate locations such as door opengings.
4 WOOD HANDRAILS
Shall be of select grade maple or oak with aniline finish.

FINISHES
1 COLOURS
From manufacturer's standard palette of 50 colours. Subject to minimum runs and set up
charges, manufacturer will make available an unlimited number of colours from it's custom
colour match pigment inventory. Special custom colour matching capabilities are available,
subject to colour matching fees and minimum runs.
2 PVC FINISHES
A matt, easy to clean, shallow etched granular surface is standard unless otherwise
indicated in product descriptions.
3 WOOD FINISHES
Kiln dried maple or oak finished with aniline stains and 2 coats of scuff resistant
conversion varnish.
4 INSTALLATION
Installlation to be in accordance with manufacturers installation instructions.
5 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Cleaning of Pawling products is easily achieved with standard cleaning products. Further
